Edvey – the best Ed-Tech startup at Columbia Venture Competition 2020!

We started our day with some great news! Our entry in the Columbia Venture Competition – Fall 2020 was selected as the best in the Ed-Tech category (Link). We’re excited to have been a part of one of the best venture competitions globally, not to mention one that was organized by Columbia University.

We are honored at the recognition given to Edvey at such a prestigious stage, among a pool of 150 other startups across 13 industries. At the same time, our journey has only just begun and we know that we have to work hard to create and deliver lasting value to teachers and learners everywhere. As a start, we’re working to help educators and institutions build and grow a successful online school with Edvey Academy – an all-in-one platform to manage online learning.

Akhil, my co-founder and an alumnus of Columbia University, had pitched it to a remote panel via video-conference. This was the first time that the competition was held in a completely virtual medium. There were some strong contenders in the Ed-Tech category as well – so congratulations are due to Akhil for a great pitch! 🙂

Once again, we’re extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in this competition and for all the feedback from the panel. We would also like to congratulate all the other winners and wish the best to all participating startups.
